A photo from inside the snow shed at the top of Lizard Head Pass shows Goose No. 4 stopped in the summertime for passengers to view the rugged mountains. Heavy snow was always a problem for the RGS here; the sheds covered the tracks including a wye for turning locomotives and plows--vital for the winter fight with frequent blizzards. Goose no. 4 was built in 1932 using a Pierce-Arrow 1926 body and Pierce-Arrow 33 engine.
