Patrick Macken, a member of Railroading Heritage of Midwest America (RHMA), polishing the wood interior of the preserved observation car "Cedar Rapids." This Skytop Lounge car was built by the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad's Milwaukee Shop in 1948 as part of the railroad's new Twin Cities Hiawatha
streamlined passenger trains. The trains featured styling by Brooks Stevens, a noted industrial designer in Milwaukee. RHMA
owns several former Hiawatha
cars, which it operates on excursions and private charters.
