Coincidental Departures, St. Louis (editor's title)

Same Departure
It is relatively unusual to be able to photograph two trains leaving any station together, especially under good lighting conditions. The CB&Q train's no. 43 (left) was bound for Burlington, Iowa, with a scheduled departure time of 8:45 a.m. passes the GM&O train no. 2, the Abraham Lincoln bound for Chicago, with a scheduled departure at 8:58 a.m. Both are leaving St. Louis Union Station, though at least one is not on time. Neumiller stood on top of a bridge to make the picture.
