Incoming Station Bulletin Board, Grand Central Terminal

Grand Central Terminal Bulletin Board
"Jake" Batchold checks the clock and station bulletin board in the incoming train room at Grand Central Terminal. As Grand Central's official clock master, Batchold was responsible for keeping the Terminal's many timepieces in order; he served in this position until 1954. Accuracy was essential -- errors in time were not tolerated. The door to the left led to a cab stand.
