Special Train for the International Eucharistic Congress in Chicago (editor's title)

Special train on the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad ran between Chicago and Mundelein, Illinois, for the International Eucharistic Congress in 1926. The train carried Cardinals and their party from all over the world. To provide transportation from the East, New York Central and Pullman operated a special "Cardinal's Train" from New York to Chicago, as shown in record 1273. This photo appeared on p. 70 of "More Classic Trains" by Arthur Dubin (Kalmbach 1974).
